Caprice L. Collins is a Harvard Law School graduate who has approximately forty (40) years of experience as an attorney representing individuals, their families and their small businesses, non-profit organizations and major businesses.
Background
Attorney Collins is a noted speaker on Living Trusts, Probate, Estate and Business Planning, Medi-Cal & Veteran’s Benefit Planning, Asset Protection and Trust Administration. Ms. Collins’ law practice focuses on Estate Planning and she is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. The Academy is a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence in estate planning by providing its exclusive membership of attorneys with up-to-date research on estate and tax planning, educational materials, and other important resources to empower them to provide superior estate planning services. To ensure this goal, the Academy requires that each member attorney satisfies a minimum of 36 continuing legal education hours each year specifically in estate, tax, probate and elder law subjects. The Academy has also been recognized as a consumer legal source by Money Magazine and Suze Orman in her book, 9 Steps to Financial Freedom. Attorney Collins’ seminars on Living Trusts are informative, entertaining and easy-to-understand. Ms. Collins has assisted non-profit organizations in their fundraising efforts by conducting free seminars to their donors on advanced estate planning strategies such as Charitable Remainder Trusts. Attorney Collins has substantial experience in estate planning for high net worth individuals using Family Limited Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies and Irrevocable Life Insurance trusts to provide Asset Protection to their families.
She is the proud mother of two sons and the devoted wife of more than thirty (30) years to Alvin Jenkins. Until 2008, she had been the primary caregiver of her mother for more than ten (10) years.
